Ahead of first deliveries, the price of the 2024 Volvo EX30 electric vehicle climbs.

After a record-breaking pre-order and expressions of interest book for the vehicle manufacturer, the Volvo EX30 has seen a price jump when the first cars reach dealerships.

Since the first 2024 Volvo EX30 electric SUVs have been a few months late in making it to local stores, Volvo Australia has already raised the price.

The Single Motor Extended Ultra and Twin Motor Performance Ultra, the two most costly EX30 models, have seen a price increase of $1300 each, starting at $66,290 and $71,290 including on-road charges, respectively.

Volvo Australia has said that the price rise would not apply to customers who pre-ordered an EX30 after it was announced in June of last year.

With or without on-road expenses, the base Single Motor Extended Plus remains at $59,990.

In recent weeks, Volvo EX30 shipments to Australia began, a few months later than expected in January. The EX30 is the company's most cheap electric vehicle and its smallest model since the C30 hatchback was discontinued in 2013.

According to Volvo, all 1500 vehicles produced for Model Year 2024 have been sold. Orders made today are expected to be delivered in September as MY25 automobiles, and the first 1700 cars have already been sold.

This is the highest level of pre-launch interest in a new Volvo in Australia that the firm has ever seen, according to Volvo.

A rear-mounted electric motor with 200kW/343Nm in Single Motor versions or two motors with 315kW/543Nm in the Twin Motor Performance Ultra powers all Australian EX30 variations, which are powered by a 69kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt battery.

Volvo offers up to 480km of projected driving range, based on WLTP lab testing for the Single Motor variants, or 460km for the Twin Motor.

In conclusion, the 2024 Volvo EX30 electric car has created enormous hype and expectation, proven by record-breaking pre-orders and expressions of interest. Despite delays in delivery and subsequent price hikes, the demand for this unique car remains high. With its variety of features, including numerous motor choices, excellent battery technology, and remarkable driving range, the EX30 symbolizes Volvo's commitment to sustainable mobility and innovation in the electric vehicle sector. As the automotive industry continues to embrace electrification, the EX30 stands out as a testimony to Volvo's drive to offering cutting-edge solutions for environmentally aware customers.
