The production version of the Kia EV3 small EV SUV will look just like the concept, teaser photos show.
The smallest dedicated Kia electric car to date – the 2025 Kia EV3 small SUV – has been teased ahead of overseas showroom arrivals by the end of this year.
The EV3 is a small SUV similar in size to the Seltos, and is based on a shrunken Hyundai and Kia electric-car platform running a 400 volt architecture, rather than 800 volts like the larger Kia EV6 and EV9, to save cost.
Teaser photos published today show the final version will be a near-match for the concept unveiled in South Korea late last year.
It is planned to be built at a factory in Slovakia – which currently produces the Ceed small hatch for Europe – as well as other locations overseas.
Australian arrival plans are yet to be confirmed, though the EV3 would need to come to local showrooms from a plant in South Korea or China as a European-built model would likely be too expensive to ship and import, based on previous comments from executives.
A 'GT' variant is expected to follow the standard EV3 range into showrooms, as Kia has confirmed all of its new dedicated electric-car models will be offered with high-performance versions.
