Aussie unveiling of the 2025 GMC Yukon V8 is hinted to beforehand.

The first official photo of General Motors' massive eight-seat SUV, which will be added to the local GMSV lineup, has been revealed.

General Motors (GM) has unveiled the first official teaser picture of the 2025 GMC Yukon ahead of its debut at GMSV (General Motors Specialty Vehicles) dealers across Australia.

Although the revised 2025 GMC Yukon has been seen in testing, here is the first glimpse of the vehicle in its final form, or at least a portion of it. The upgraded Yukon is a makeover of the current fifth-generation Yukon, which was initially debuted in North America in 2021.

The teaser displays the front of the eight-seater, larger-than-a-Toyota LandCruiser vehicle, in the "AT4" trim level, which is the middle specification level of a five-tier Yukon lineup at US dealerships.

Anticipated in early 2025, the AT4 will not be available in local dealerships. Instead, a single model in "Denali" trim—a lower variant of the "Denali Ultimate" flagship model marketed in the US—will be launched.

The teaser's black grille surround matches the AT4 trim level that is currently offered for sale in the US; the Denali's surround and details are silver and chrome.

As seen in Yukon spy photos, the new Yukon's headlamp is now separated by the grille surround, a characteristic that is probably going to be present across the whole lineup.

Prior spy photos have also showed the revamped Yukon's interior, which will have a digital instrument cluster and a portrait-oriented center touchscreen a la Tesla. The new wheels can have a diameter of up to 24 inches.

Based on the same base as the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck offered by GMSV in Australia, the Yukon had a mid-year makeover in 2023 and got equipment updates for the 2024 model year.

The Yukon will be remanufactured at Walkinshaw Automotive Group in Melbourne from left- to right-hand drive, much like the Silverado.

Within the General Motors hierarchy, GMC models are positioned above Chevrolet but below Cadillac. Cadillac, on the other hand, is scheduled to make a comeback to Australia in 2024, specializing in electric vehicles, beginning with the 2025 Lyriq electric SUV in the latter part of that year.

While the Australian Yukon's price and specifications are yet unknown, it is anticipated to be powered by the same 6.2-liter V8 petrol engine (designated as "L87") producing 313kW/624Nm and a 10-speed automated transmission that is available locally for the Silverado.

Given that the Denali variant costs $US82,000 ($AU126,000) in North America when equipped with a V8 engine and four-wheel drive, before import taxes and on-road expenses are taken into account, a starting price of $150,000 may be in the works.

The 2025 GMC Yukon will be offered for sale for the first time in China and New Zealand in addition to Australia.
