Car Review: The comfy mid-size SUV with a playful streak is the BMW iX M60, an all-electric vehicle.
The all-electric Ultimate Driving Machine is leading the way into the future, and the iX SUV aims to uphold the reputation that BMW has acquired by being a luxurious people-mover that's content and enjoying itself.
The new BMW iX M60 is intended to appeal to those seeking a five-person SUV that is also very fun to drive. With 610 horsepower, the iX has more than enough power to get your heart pumping when you press the pedal. The speed at which this large ride moves astonished me. Sports cars: When one passes you at a stop sign, take caution.
Additionally, the car handles much better than you would anticipate for such a large, opulent vehicle.
like we conversed over some complimentary charging, an iX driver who has owned many gas-powered BMW models over the years stated, "It drives as BMW should."
The iX is quiet and comfy while traveling, and it can go from Washington, D.C. to Pittsburgh on a single charge. But the iX M60's powerful performance comes at a cost: almost $20,000 more than the iX50, which is less powerful, sportier, and has a longer battery life than the top-of-the-line model.
The iX is designed to seem more futuristic than previous BMW gas cars. This BMW's front end is dominated by tall kidney grills, and its sleek laser headlamps further enhance its contemporary appearance.
The iX M60 also has some eye-catching 22-inch wheels that display bigger brakes with blue calipers and a M emblem that denotes rapid braking. With little indication of off-road capability, the body has less SUV styling than the majority of the competitors. Although it is smaller than most SUVs on the road, it has better ground clearance than a vehicle. Opening the doors, you can't help but notice that this isn't your typical SUV since exposed carbon fiber, which is often seen in expensive sports vehicles, is there.
The interior of the iX M60 is lighter than that of earlier BMW models, and it is more spacious and open. For your seats, you have a variety of options: leather, microfiber, and fabric. I drove a model that had genuine wood trim, bejeweled glass switches for the seat controls and navigation knob, and an interior made of leather.
At least six hours of driving are made pleasant by the heated and ventilated seats. The arm rests are heated as well. Riders in the back seat will discover heated outboard seats; throughout the 350-mile trip, no child voiced any complaints.
Huge, information-rich displays that occupy half of the dash welcome the driver. Additionally, you may choose a theme or the exclusive "My Modes Design," which modifies the vehicle's audio. The display has some very amazing designs that go beyond your typical screen.
